All vehicle rentals come with a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines important terms, conditions, insurance information, applicable charges, and your responsibilities during the rental period. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Booking and Payment Options
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Altrincham office. To confirm your booking, a deposit may be necessary. The remaining balance and a security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include applicable VAT. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment systems.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection in Altrincham, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage right away. 6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Please be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities, including racing or off-roading. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should not be used for purposes it was not designed for, nor should passenger or weight limits be exceeded. Additionally, driving outside of the agreed geographical limits requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Altrincham will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraud.
9. Local Legal Framework
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in these regions.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon their publication on our website. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
